Inspired by the tropical craftsmanship of the West Indies and the woven cane accents of classic British and Dutch Colonial design, the Charleston Upholstered Seat Side Chair has an oyster-colored fabric seat and a cane back. The finish is Haint Blue, a soft color which can be found on the ceilings of porches and entryways, window shutters and doors in the American South, dating back more than 200 years from the Gullah folklore that held the color kept “haints” or spirits from entering homes and dwellings.
